Use A-Squared Antikeylogger to rid your rig of the keylogger. It's a free download and you can find it either by googling "A-Squared software" or go to http://majorgeeks.com and find it there. It will get rid of the keylogger for sure.

That virus can do it.

Here's what probably happened. You got the virus, it has a keylogger in it. You signed into your email, the keylogger recorded your password. You got hacked.

Best thing to do is purchase Norton Antivirus 2007, run a full system scan. Afterwards when it kills the virus, setup a new email account and email everyone on your old one, then delete your old one.

2 ways: someone sends anonymous email with the same name of your email in person or by hacking program from any PC, or the hacking program sends your email from your PC. For the first case, the ip addresses of yours are quite different from the hacker's one.

You should file report to US-CERT Computer Emergency Readiness Team if need.

You can put any email address into the sent box. to really be sure, you would have to check between the ip address of the email from where it was sent to your ip address. That would be a way to see if your computer is really sending these emails or not.

Jackal's explanantion is probably the most likly cause as keyloggers send everything you type (and even view) to the hacker that programmed it, always run uptodate antivirus and always do weekly scans as part of your maintenance
