Hello All,
on reading the posts here, i had downloaded the smitfraud software and run the utility. it has removed the antivirgear pop up.
But i still see it in my start up programs by going to run and msconfig( i had deactivated it as not relevant for startup)
i have macafee installed.
how can i delete that file too and make sure nothing else is there on my pc?

Please advise me, as i am very anxious as to what will happen to the system

The email is from a "Yahoo Lottery Promo" and states it is from the UK. As I have "won" dozens of "Lotteries" from Ireland to the US, I would assume that this is also a scam. Will Yahoo intervene and put a stop to it? This scam is using the Yahoo name...

place she rented it from about the problem she is having sence she wasn't given a windows disc so she can't redo windows. she was told she needed to find a program to fix the problem. well the problem is it is very hard to get on line anymore, she keeps getten alot of pop ups an freezing up the computer, and she keeps getten a alert sign saying that her computer is in danger an has a virus. she doesn't have the money to fix it right now, so does anyone know of any good programs she can download and use for free to fix this problem? alot of them say there free but after you download them then they say to pay to use it. are theren any good ones for free. PLEASE HELP neither of us really know to much about computers.

my computer got hacked and they disabled everything like windows task manager and the run function in the start menu can some one please explain how to get these things enabled so i can get my computer back to normal

I want to know what sites my lil brothers going on cuz i know he goes to some fake hacking sites and it gives me alot of viruses and i ask him not to go but i have no proof if hes going or not.

what can i do to not get caught using limewire
is there sum kind of program that will stop them from getting ur IP adress or w/e
this is what i do:
i remove limewire and all its folders off my computer then delete all the songs
after i got into my c drive and go to shared and delete all the songs out of there
is that enough
if not tell me cuz im soo peranoid how ever u spell it lol

I use the free addition of AVG Anti-virus and Spydoctor. Usually in the instructions for all the anti-malware programs its given that you should scan the computer regularly using them. So how often does regularly means? I usually end up scanning everyday or the other day. Can scanning a lot have any affect on my hard drive or other components?

My daughter has been talking to someone online who she believes is a 15 year old model. Later she gave out information and her home phone #. I realized all of this when she gave me the phone and wanted me to talk to her friend. It was a very suspicious person who did not sound like a 15 yr old boy it sounded to me like a woman pretending to be a kid. Now I am very freaked out with all the online predators and now this person can easily find her. When she told him what I was saying he got vey worried. For about the past month, a website called "whataboutadog" has been showing up in my history. Just recently, another one called "adoginhispen" has also been showing up as well. I know they are viruses, but I didn't do anything because I didn't notice any change in my computer. But now it goes incredibly slow, and sometimes our programs (AIM, Internet Explorer) will randomly shut down, and our computer has even shut itself down a few times. I clicked on one of them about a month ago and all that showed up was HTML and a bunch of numbers. What is this virus, what can it do to my computer, and how do I get rid of it?!

i have recently had zone alarm with avira and had problems with my pc since installing hem both!
