For about the past month, a website called "whataboutadog" has been showing up in my history. Just recently, another one called "adoginhispen" has also been showing up as well. I know they are viruses, but I didn't do anything because I didn't notice any change in my computer. But now it goes incredibly slow, and sometimes our programs (AIM, Internet Explorer) will randomly shut down, and our computer has even shut itself down a few times. I clicked on one of them about a month ago and all that showed up was HTML and a bunch of numbers. What is this virus, what can it do to my computer, and how do I get rid of it?!

WhatAboutADog is related to the Downloader.Agent.awf. It is a particularly difficult infection to remove without expert help because it moves legitimate executable files from their correct location into a 'bak' folder created by the malware.

That sounds more like a spyware then a virus. Usually if it is Internet related, it is a spyware. Virus scanners usually do not clean spyware.

Go to http://download.com and download the free program Spybot Seek & Destroy. It should find and clear any spyware that is on your computer.

Go to your Tools Menu, choose Internet Options and Delete All under the General Tab.
