confident you're able to. Firewall protects your computing device not in basic terms from virus yet in addition from exterior connection. working example, if a application tries to talk with it somewhat is server, avg does not something yet firewall does. It asks you to allow the communication or not. Had this methodology been a secret agent ware, your suggestions might have been actually misused. So it rather is often a suitable concept to maintain firewall! stay risk-free :)

On a leak test the firewall which came first was free Comodo pro, it does not leak, zonealarm came 3rd, window firewall scored very low.
A number of people have had problems with Zonealarm firewall since it was updated for Vista.
I would go back to using Avira because it has a high detection rate & works alot better than AVG.
If your using XP then use free Comodo pro firewall (its not Vista ready yet).

I found Zone Alarm to be VERY cumbersome and unreliable. I always used Sygate with AVG, but also found that Tiny Personal Firewall was a solid firewall and didn't have any major problems with it. Nowadays, however, I use Agnitum Outpost alongside Avast Virus Checker - without problems!
Since Tiny no longer actively supports their "free" firewall, here's a link: http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=tpfirewall
although it's probably out-dated by now. It's still a solid firewall.

Zone alarm works fine with AVG, I have used it for years together and installed it on others with no problems.

zone alarm, is very good. windows firewall is rubbish. also if you search the net you can get an activation code for zone alarm that gives you all the spyware and anti-virus too.

Comodo or PcTools
Try one of those and go back to Avira or Avast as they are better than AVG.
