it seams to have installed itself in to my computer without me knowing ,,,its a pain in my @rse,,how do i get back to my old references...thank you.

at a couple other schools I went to you could either use the command console or proxies to do it... but the command console is disabled and somehow the proxies are working just the same as if they werent being used.

for example, i had this.

121.6.124.30 and 121.6.84.3

and from the website, http://www.ipgp.net/ i found out that both stays in singapore and from city queenstown.

however, i could confirm that one of tht is my friend and is not staying at queenstown. so, what does the first few digit of the ip address means? and does having the first few digits the same means that they are staying in the same area?

Yahoo says i need to down load IE defender to find and remove the problem. When I down load IE defender it says I have some Trojan virus and malware problems, but Norton says different. My Internet surfing is completely slowed and I get a Microsoft warning every 30 seconds to fix the problem. I only run into slowing problems and rerouting to different sites on the internet. When I'm offline, I have no problems or slowing. My Norton Protection center says all is secure but my HP Total Care Advisor says it does not have a anti virus programm installed and that the fire wall is off. The norton and hp care used to work together but now its not in sync. Any ideas whats going on?

At this time, I want to know the best security for my computer. I only have 124 rams of memory so I am limited as to which I can download. I used a free CC cleaner to run a clean up on my computer, but had no disk in to back up the erased files in the recycle bin ! HELP.

Recently I downloaded a virus from Limewire. I downloaded avast! antivirus, updated the database and ran it. I found Win32 trojan, and a few other things, and deleted them. The problem was that when I would open IE, my homepage would open, along with another page that would open by itself. It went from an ebay search of fishing rods to a blog site. When I ran the software last night, everything was running smoothly. This morning, it's acting up again. I ran the software and didn't find anything. What could this be, and how can I remove it?

i want to sell an ebook on my website but i don't want the people i sell it to.Too send it to other people. so i want a verification pin that only works on one ip and a differant one for another. do you know how to do this??????????????????????? If so tell me please
E.G You buy windows liveone care and they give you a pin.(Via email) then they have to download it and type the pin.

I am trying to view a sheriff's sale calendar on the following website, but I keep getting an "Internet Explorer cannot display the page" error. I sent an e-mail to the webmaster and they say the site is not down and that I should check my firewall settings.

If you can see it, do you have any suggestions on what settings I need to change on my end so that I can see it?

ok i have the norton anti virus protecton but it already expired but it still scans. but my internet doesnt work but the people 4rm sbc says its probaly norton thats blocking it cuz limewire still works and so does myspace im . the page doesnt work so i want to delete norton but what if its not that and it could still scan . i try 2 disable it but it frozes so that doesnt help! ill give you 10 pts if u help!

so, some how some type of trojan virus disguised as a spyware sheild got down loaded on to my computer. i ran REAL spyware searching programs and it came up blank. then even after it somehow got downloaded on to my computer, it wants me to download it AGAIN.(here's the kicker) it says it detects a TROJAN VIRUS CAUSING POP-UP ADS AND COOKIES. Now i think its getting worse. i tried to go to an ordinary site when suddenly the same old pop up came up wanting me to download it.... 43 times in a row and in the back ground you could see all these spyware sheild programs pretending to run. it makes an erie noise when the thing about it dectecting a trojan virus pops up.(erawwwwwr)

also, its called IE Defender.

i try to remove it but nothing happens. SO HOW IN THE WORLD DO I GET IT OFF?!

Today I bought a computer that will be delivered and installed next week. No security comes with it. The store offered to install anti-virus stuff and whatever else, for $300+. I said thanks, but no, thanks. It sounded quite expensive to me and I didn't have enough money after buying the computer.

So what security should I have? A firewall? Any good free ones that I can download? How about anti-spyware and anti-virus material? Anything else?

The computer has Windows Vista Home Premium installed, if that makes any difference.

i got this weird problem with my browser it just started happening recently a pop up comes on the screen every time now telling me that my browser is infected and my performance is running slow is there any program out there that i can download free to get rid of the trojans if i do have any i have a spyware remover i'm using avg as the program to get rid of them but iunno whats going on can any one help??
