Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

Your school has its system set up that way for GOOD reasons!!! LEGALLY, you can NOT go around its policies!!! WHEN you get caught (and you WILL! They know every keystroke you make!), you can at very MINIMUM lose your privilage to use your school's computers! At maximum, depending upon what you're doing, you could even get into trouble with the law!!!
So save NON-School related computer use for HOME!

Sounds like whomever setup the your schools network is a little smarter than your other schools. They are using deep packet filtering. Which not only denies access to particular IP addresses but will examine the contents of the packet to determine if the content is allowed on the network. If you try to connect to http://www.myspace.com through a proxy, the packet still contains the content of http://www.myspace.com and therefore will be filtered. Sorry, but is sounds like Cisco rained on your parade.

You are not supposed to use the school computers for playing, that's why they are blocked. When our IT department catch you, and they certainly will you can be banned from using computers at all. Your parents will be notified as well. We pay taxes to give you an education, not to let you play on you tube . Work at school and play at home.

Using Computers at School is a privilege not a right they
block these sights to keep you safe and their computers
from being infected from virus and malware.

Yeah there's really no way around that...
I will say though, that if it's possible to use a teacher's computer (with permission), you might have better luck...
When I was in high school, I couldn't use any computers to log into this MMORPG I play, but my teacher let me use his computer at lunch and I was able to log in with no problems.

Using a PHP based proxy like http://www.proxypod.info will encode the url which will help prevent filters from picking up the blocked site. Which should allow you to bypass the filters.
Alternatively, sign up to a free proxy newsletter like http://www.everywebproxy.com and receive new proxies to your inbox daily....then try some of those.
