What i need to know. i have programs that are on my computer where its like you can delete them or leave them. i have to delete all the ones that are security ones and i dont know which ones are. i have a free set to put on from road runner and until i get those off i can't put this on help me please thanks in advance.

I would recommend you write down the names of the programs you see in add/remove programs (which is what I think you are talking about) & look them up on google to see what they are.
Also find out what programs roadrunner is providing you & do a search comparing them to the ones you already have.
Then you will know which to keep & which to delete.

I'm not familiar with the free set from Roadrunner, but it they're anything like the free set from Cox, don't do it. I've had to remove them for way too many machines.
Get AVG for virus; spybot, adware, or Windows Defender (pick two) for spyware, and zonealarm for firewall. Or spend a few $ and get Trend Micro.
Whatcha got already? Get the new stuff ready and go to Add/Remove programs and remove anything with Norton, Symantec, liveupdate, livereg, McAfee.... You probably have something in that range.
