I came to the computer while the screen saver was on, after doing something yesterday, and it says that it's password protected and has the username as "owner". No one put a password on the computer. So, how do I remove this? I got an HP Windows XP Home Edition, with DSL internet.

I have already in place a backup drive to save essential data. But in case of theft, I would like to mirror my whole computer to a large external drive (500gb) so it would be easy to restore not just the data but also the OS, drivers and programs. I have a decent PC with Win XP. Thanks.

The email read something to the point that the Yahoo Awards Center has selected me as one of the six monthly monetary winners. Sadly, I gave them my mailing address, and all my phone numbers, including my id #.

Ok, I used to have Norton Internet Security 2006. I really liked it. Then it ran out, so I decided to get Norton 360. I hate it. I hate the transaction security stuff, where it sits there and tries to scan the web page, also it tries to back up my whole computer. So I find out that you can return it withing 60 days to Norton and get a refund. So that's what I planned to do, and I go to Circuit City to buy Norton Internet Security 2007. I realize that it has the Transaction Security, the part that I do NOT want. So I was like, fine, whatever, I'll just get Norton Anti-Virus. So I get home and install that. Now, I just find out, because they don't tell you on the box, that it doesn't have the two things I did like about Norton 360/Internet Security: The Parental Controls and Ad Blocking. Now I'm stuck here, I've paid idk how much, I don't like 360, I like Anti-virus, but I need to add Parental controls and Ad blocking, and I don't know what to do.

does anyone have any suggestions?

No, I didn't think so. If I look at a random homepage and it automatically shows details relevant to where I live, what does that mean? Does it mean that some one has entered details from my PC onto thtat site and it has remembered the login/identity?
