If the sender is MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com, then it is a legitimate email. It is an automatic response email from yahoo's mail server and it is telling you that one or more of your friends' email addresses are incorrect or does not exist.. thus 'failure notice' meaning to say, failed to deliver to the destination email address.

Look at the email from yahoo carefully. It should show you which email address is the one it failed to deliver to. Check all your friends' email address and remove the one that is incorrect (or check with your friend what is the correct one and change it). Resend the email. It should work.

VinceY is correct. This is called DaemonMailer and it is the program that notifies you an email could not be delivered to the address you put on the email.

If the email address is correct but still getting returned, try deleting the address from you Address Book or Contact list and retyping it. It sounds crazy, but this has happened a couple of times to me. The email addresses in my Address Book/Contact lists looked completely normal but Yahoo mail could not deliver it. Once I retyped the addresses they delivered properly.

Quite obvious that "DAEMON@yahoo.com is a scam and not a valid return of your email. If you have opened these emails, I suggest that you run a complete scan with your antivirus and your antispyware software.

You don't mention the name of your antivirus software so I am unable to tell you if it is really any good.

To be on the safe side you can run what is known as an "OnlineScan", from the servers of Kaspersky, Labs, Russia, rated # 1 in the world for virus detection.

Scan can take upto two hours depending on how many running processes you have and how many programs you have installed in your pc. If a virus is found the program will kill the virus for you, and will not conflict with your existing antivirus you have installed.

Reboot, if a virus is found.

I would guess that you (or your computer) were trying to send an email to someone with a @yahoo.com address and the mail program didn't know what to do with it so you're getting a bounced response back from yahoo.com's server.

As far as I can tell, daemon@yahoo.com is NOT an official yahoo email address. It is probably someone trying to scam/harm your computer. I would block the email address and report it.

VinceY is right. that is termed DaemonMailer and that is this methodology that notifies you an digital mail would desire to no longer be dropped on the handle you set on the digital mail. If the digital mail handle is right yet nevertheless getting returned, try deleting the handle from you handle e book or touch record and retyping it. It sounds loopy, yet this has got here approximately a pair of situations to me. the digital mail addresses in my handle e book/touch lists regarded thoroughly favourite yet Yahoo mail would desire to no longer furnish it. when I retyped the addresses they introduced suitable.
