UNIVERSAL FIREWALL BYPASS PROTOCOL

The only 'universal' way to 'bypass' a firewall is to use a 'known to be open' port = i.e. port 80. HTTP protocol, www (web) access.

This is of course not a 'bypass' at all = it's simply making use of the same 'channel' that the users Web Browser is using.

It will only 'work' if the software is inside the users firewall (i.e. to infect a PC you must get the stupid user to install your Trojan) - this is because modern Firewalls reject all unexpected port 80 traffic (i.e. access to port 80 from outside is ignored unless the user is accessing the web - and then traffic is only allowed in if it comes from the site the user is browsing)

Even then it will only works if the user is stupid enough to allow the Trojan to 'call out' (even a free firewall like Zone Alarm will spot the fact that new software is trying to access the Internet / act like a server and initially block it)

Having said all that, there are many morons who happily download and install unknown software and then, when Zone Alarm pops up the warning box, they click on 'allow' without thinking... and a few weeks or months later are totally shocked when their ebay, palpal and bank accounts are compromised by the key logger they installed ..
