In Internet Explorer, a popup comes up to accept or deny a certificate. It is annoying for my Dad. How do I disable that so that the computer will ignore the Publishers Certificate??

Thanks,

Ok, so I went to a site earlier that someone sent me to, it was supposed to be for a program. I went there...I dont know if I went to the wrong site, or what. But heres what happened

(Heres a list of programs first so everyone knows)
Firewalls
- Windows Firewall
- Zone Alarm Security Suite 2006 (I bought it)
Spyware/Virus/AdwareProtectors
- Zone Alarm
- Spyware Doctor (Paid version)
- Adaware (Wasnt on during attack)
- SUPERanitspyware (This wasnt on either)

These are the programs I use, I have used others that I know people are going to say, like, Spybot, CounterSpy, AVG...etc. But these work fine.

Ok, onwards. So I went to the site, clicked enter, and immediatly, Zone Alarm pops up saying its blocked 40+ port attacks. Spyware Doctor blocked some things then started scanning. It found 200+ things, and 2 were really bad. They had to do with DNS. Which one was somehow imbedded in the memory or something, so it did an emergency restart. Well...kinda...

I use for about 7 months the Zone Alarm Pro Firewall but it blocks a lot of HTML or Flashy Banners or I cannot customize it as I desire.

My need, is a good Firewall, (free or to buy it) which can be customized not to block some active embed objects.
And of course, to block by asking the Int-Ext requests....

Please my nerves are collapse, thank you all for your answers ;)

Basically...I got a mass attack earlier...I went to a site someone sent me too...no reason to be alarmed...and bam, my firewall stopped 30+ port attacks, I did a spyware doctor scan and it found 200+ things, and one was a DNS something...which I know is really bad...and it said it had to do an emergancy restart. Which...never happened. It froze on the desktop. I restarted, nothing came up. I did again...still nothing. after the 4th restart, the desktop finally came up after about 5 minutes. Then, it was really really slow. Help said to press F8 to start in safe mode, which didnt do anything. It brought up a menu asking where I wanted to start, DVD drive, A drive, or hard drive. I need help!

I want to download a game i played on my old computer, but I don't know how to distinguish if it's safe or not, so that's why i need your help. I just got a new Windows Vista computer and i'm treating it like a very fragile newborn....

Anyways, the game is Maplestory and it's website is http://maplestory.nexon.net/

So, could someone investigate and tell me if it's an ok thing to download w/out getting viruses?

I promise I'm not trying to give you a virus myself, the website above is completely safe....plus, i'm not a mean and ruthless person.

I mean, I don't use it for banking etc and the only sites I have passwords for wouldn't gain them financial benefits. Wouldn't a hacker go for the like of registrar sites for information on birth certs etc rather than attack one single person on the web etc.

This may sound like a stupid question but,

If I turned off our Firewall and gave unrestricted access at the TCP/IP level to our corporate network. What is the risk? Could someone really compromise system security IE: Passwords and steal data just by having TCP/IP access? How would they do it?
