only by running a program which will brute force the password - by trying every possible combination of characters until if finds the password - and it's not 'quick quick quick' by any means.

we're talking possibly weeks to crack a half decent password since it would start at a, b, c, etc then aa, bb, cc, etc and so on.

so regardless of how urgent you feel it is, the only method of finding the password will take you a long time and even then it's no guarantee - passwords are meant to be secure.

If it's been passworded against you and you weren't told the password, there is probably a good reason you're not allowed to see it.

if you have windows xp..have the person go to control panal..then to user accounts..there they should be able to disable password protection
