i have located a file that contains a virus, and it won't let me delete it! Please help!?

I have located a specific file that i believe has the Win32 virus in it, the bad thing is though, i can't delete it! Please help me! I am only 12 years old!

(1) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one .
(2) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans
(3a) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
(3b) Install a good firewall

If the above steps do not remove the hijack then you would need to
(4) Download hijackthis
(5) Post the hijackthis log on the hijackthis forum for the hijackthis experts to take a look
6) Install and use firefox while browsing

If you are absolutely unable to delete it (or maybe even hesitant to do so in fear of it being a system file), then at least quarantine it. This will keep the virus from spreading across other files. Any virus scanner should be able to quarantine the file for you.

Unless you are a highly experienced computer user with lots of knowledge of the workings you should not be trying to delete files.

You need to use a good AntiVirus and AntiSpyware programs and scan your computer for infections and then allow the program to remove them.

If you do not have AV and/or AS programs you should use online scan and removal programs. Trend Micro has two very good online sites for scanning and removal. Use both sites:

okay. go to www.download.com and at the top there is a search box. type in spybot and then press go/enter. when a new page comes up, press ont he first one where it says download now. follow the insturctions for the setup. when its done run it. after it does the full scan press fix selected problems, then go into recovery((on the left)) and IFFF there is anything there check the box and press deleate permantly.


It sounds kinda confusing but if you follow it by steps it VERYYY simple, i learned it wen i was 11.
