there are several ways a hacker can find you, but a hacker doesnt usally search for one person they search a location or a certian thing like a low security level or a really fast connection. in the process of that they can come up with hundreds of results then they go through the results to find what they want.

I would like to know the same thing , there are millions of people on line at any given time.
Since a hacker found out a entrance to lets say yahoo answers and your email accounts even though you have different passwords, if these nosy people can get in there whats to say they haven't hacked there way into any accounts where you pay your bills and either steal from you or get information that really
doesn't concern them and are invading your privacy and pers life
They could be found out and then could be blamed for what others have done and end up in court or jail. At the very least ,
their reputation would be mud , worse then who accts they hacked into. No one wants to be known for hanging around crooks
or computer thieves.

I am looking to report a bad website. After a few hours of searching, I have hit a wall. I want this site that I accidentally found destroyed. Anyone with a soul would want this site destroyed, the webmasters and developers in jail and their families disgraced. So if you find a hacker, let him or her know that he should destroy these sites for the good of all.

ANYTHING THAT GOES OVER THE INTERNET , IS A PORTAL. ANY SITE YOU LOG ON, SOMEONE IS WATCHING. ANY INFO YOU GIVE OUT CAN ALSO BE HIJACKED. YOU GO ON A FAKE SITE AND PUT IN PERSONAL INFO ,THAT CAN BE TAKEN. YOUR INFO IS THEN MORE THAN LIKELY SOLD AND THE 2-10 YRS LATER YOU FIND YOU HAVE 4 HOUSES IN YOUR NAME AND NO CREDIT. INFO IN THE ELECTRONIC TRANSFERS ACROSS INTERNET LINES ARE ALWAYS RUNNING. VIRUSES CAN BE SENT ANY WAY POSSIBLE AS WELL. FAKE SITES, ADWARE, SPYWARE, DATA MINING COOKIES, COOKIES, PHISHING SITES, RED ZONE SITES ZIP FILES, EXE FILES ALL CAN GET IN AND GET WHAT IS ON YOUR SYSTEM AND DESTROY THE DATA AS WELL. GULLIBLE PEOPLE IS WHAT THEY LOOK FOR AND ACTUALLY ANYONE CAN BE A TARGET. BE CAREFUL.

most of the time people aren't looking for anyone, they just attack after someone smarts off to them and they want to show their dominance. but it is not hard to track someone down on the net pending on what websites they are visiting and if that person knows they are there.

They just go on a website (like my space)
