im online and some kind of message pops up every second sayin' my comp has critical errors. each time it appears it putsforth a site to sought it out which keeps changing. bugs a lot .cant browse peacefully.guess its a kind of virus. comps antivirus of no use.hope u suggest right.......

I download music(mp3 files),
I download movies(avi files),
They play nice and wonderful, BUT THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM!
When I shut my computer and turn it back on, every single completed wonderful file turns to exe(used to be avi,mp3,mpg....) and states when I launch it "can't play file for security reasons." I need help. I want to be able to shut my computer at night and wake up with my files working.

I have been having problems with Windows Live Messenger. Everything was fine to start with but then I installed Smiley Central and the smileys wouldn't work so I uninstalled it and ran a spyware and virus check. Now I can sign into messenger and chat but when I try to play a game it asks for my username and password again but still wont let me play any games.

It wont let me sign into my hotmail either. To start with it said that there was script errors but this has stopped but I still can't sign into anything. I have re-installed it but this hasn't stopped the problem.

Can anyone help me please???

One of them had a replica site of a real site. EBAY does not care. I saved all the messages these con men sent me and EBAY did not even want to see them. Would like to hear from other people with similar experiences and if they actually got something done? Would appreciate links to sites with more information, thanks.

I had my broadband installed last Monday, and Norton 2006 was included in the package.

Before I was running on AVG free antivirus and Ad-aware. The PC was running very fast then.

I installed Norton and everything was so slow. Now it is beginning to be so slow I can't do anything without a huge delay. Even when I am typing this it appears later than what it should!
My PC has a gig RAM, and 160 gig HDD.

Any alternatives to Norton? I worried that if I uninstall it that my protection will go as I keep my PC on continuously.

Will turning to an alternative be worth my while? I just want to gain back the speed of my computer!
