I share a wireless router with my roommate, and he checks the logs to view my internet usage using my IP address. Can I prevent my computer from showing up on the log, yet still be on the acceptable list?

In my computer there is a hidden folder caller RECYCLER in every partition of the Hard disk. My friend says it is the effect of Virus. But i'm using AVG Antiviru professional version and Spyware Doctor. I have scanned with those my computer. But the folder still remains. If i try to open or delete that folder it says Acces denied although i tried in Administrator Account. I updates the Antivirus as well as Antispyware.
What may be the reason to this. Is it a Windows Sytem file?If anyone know this please answer me?

this virus keeps on coming back in my pc everytime i log in
and not just in one file but in different files

norton says that the virus name is W32.Rontokbro.X@mm
norton always says that it was automatically deleted
but another norton pops up if i click ok until about a hundred of clicks or more

everytime i use my pc it appears again, i tried scanning my pc with avg but it cant find the virus

can anyone help me remove this virus from my pc?

Has any one had their laptop scanned at airports. The told me to take it out of the case and they proceeded to scan the edges of it with some wierd looking thing, I didn't ask about it cause It took me by suprised.

we have Maccafe as our Anti virus few days back virus called w32/fujacks came into our network now the whole network is effected with many virus like fujacks ... Game.exe ... etc..we removed all the pc from the network then scaned them using maccafe ..AVG ... MWAV ... it was cleaned but once we connected all the systems back to the network again we can see that virus into the system.. please tell me some tool and a way to clean the entire network .. we have around 125 pc in our network ..

I installed Norton security and my computer got pretty slow, on top of that it crashes everytime I close a window using either the exit option or the red tab in the upper corner, and it makes every windw shut down bu it only messes with internet, oher programs are just fine, it takes forever to upload a page from the internet and sometimes it wont even upload it, I checked my internet provider and it's fine, any help would be greatly apreciated.

there is a system alert that keeps popping up on my start bar that says i have spyware and **** on my computer. whatever it is is also changing my homepage. i tried to change it back, but when i when to the internet options, everything looks normal. anybody know how to get rid of this crap???

how cai restore a computer with a virus, do I have to clea it up and how, I have the restore cd when I insert it , a window pops up when clic on full restore nothing happend( it was supposed to start the restore system) I don't care about loosing data I just want to use the computer

ok, i have my avast anti virus installed but the notification area from the lower right corner of the task bar displays the security center icon marked in red and it says "anti virus might not be installed". And when I open the security center, I see in the "Virus Protection" label and it indicates "not found". Why is it like this? How come windows did not detect my avast anti virus?

I want to offer a service to maintain PC users computers. This is a proactive method, ensure things like Anti-virus, anti-spyware is running properly, security updates complete. Most work done remotely by logging in through the client modem/router to the PC.

Current client has 5 children, and wants their activity monitored, parents are not computer literate. I have the methods, the skills, and the tools to check all activities and security components on today's PC's.

Will people pay $19.95/month for me to ensure the computer stays running (longer) than it would without the service? Not guaranteed if they do certain "bad" things..", disable anti-virus, use lots of file sharing (viruses..), etc. Alerts on the above.

Would also offer a discount on services, like upgrades, free email support, install new software, trip charge, recommendations, hardware replace - all discounted deeply with plan.

What do you think? Is there a set of services and a price level that will sell > $10/mo.

While watching Google video,I attempted to rate a video and when I clicked on the 5th star to rate...it flashed up in red letters....must enable cookies to use this feature. I have always been able to rate vids on Google and have not changed anything. How do I enable cookies and why did this change without my knowledge? No one else uses my computer and I have anti-virus,firewall protection,spybot etc. Thank you.
