i need to remove virusbursters. how do i know the software to remove is not a scam?

Well if the site looks credible and it isn't loaded with banners its probably ok. But your still taking your chances, i guess. If you know a lot about your registry, id just boot up in safe mode and erase the program and the registry entries myself.
