Office is on the computer. Any number of users can work with it. You set up an account for each user, then each will set his/her desktop, etc. according to his/her wishes.

Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Users and create additional accounts. Better make them limited accounts so they can't download or install without administrator's permission.

If you have Office loaded then it is available to everyone that would ever use your PC. It sounds like you are just missing the shortcuts. Just coy the shortcuts from your desktop (or Start menu) to the desktop folder of All users and they will show up for everyone.

When you add a user's account on the computer you have the option to let other users access your programs.

You might have to change or remove and add the account.

XP - Control Panel > User Accounts

Edit the account

At installation, you have the option to let every user, run the program. One solution is to uninstall MS Office completely an reinstall it for all users. Another solution is to copy shortcuts to "X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs". Everybody can easily execute MS Word by running "winword.exe" via [Start Menu]>[Run].

If you have Windows XP, you have to be an administrator to install software. Once installed, it works for every user on one computer.
If you have any other Windows (eg. ME, 2000, 98, 95, etc.) it's installed with no worries.
In you're on a network, get your administrator to help you install it, as there might be a software that prevents you from installing MS Office.

office licenses you per computer, not user. just install it like you would anything else and it should go into the 'all programs' start menu and be available to everyone automatically.
