Security - December 2006

When I log on my computer. I get baloons popping up from my task bar saying I have Critical System Errors and "System performance monitor: Warning type stuff. I was on myspace and tried to view a profile and it said I needed to download a "Profile Viewer" to view it. I should have known better, but stupid me downloaded it and now I'm getting porn pop ups and anti-virus pop ups a lot. My home page has changes and I have those earlier earlier mentioned error messages from my taskbar. Does anyone know anything about this? I have been doing a little research, and I think it is something called Virus Burst or something, but I'm practically computer illiterate. Please help!!!

well my trend micro have quaratined it but cant remove it permanently wat should i do to get rid of 6 trojan and 4 viruses present in my system?

I've tried to disable "Enable driver level protection" in Sygate and install klimsetup.exe (as instructed in Kaspersky forum) with no success, still have no connection (can't browse web, etc..). Things go well when i uninstall either of them.

Does anyone have any suggestion? I love both of them.

its seems that it came with a buldle software, although i got rid of that , this pesky program keeps displaying a "critical System errors!" in the task bar, also ist not in the task manager program so i can stop it a delete it

it even blocks sites like "vtunnel"
its a toughie

is there some setting i can try changing or a site that can go by undetected?

Whenever I open explorer it will only show text content and does not load any graphics. This was after a virus attack that I've destroyed, however I can't get IE back to normal. Can anyone help??

hello i found a trojan named (lion dumper) on my system last night and deleted it as recommended,but i am worried that it might have left replications of itself,i have down all neccessary scans but have not come up with anything else.need expert advice please.

In a im chat with a new computer tutor, I gave out my ip address,
dont know the implications, should I change my ip address on my computer now, and if so, how do I do this?
Is there a reason to worry? Does the ip address give him any unauthorized access?
running clamwin anti-virus..
use ms ie, just downloaded firefox.
