If using an email client such as Outlook, Eudora, or Thunderbird, just right click, select properties or options, and look at the sender's information located within the "Received" field.
If it came from me@blahblah.com go to http://www.arin.net and type blahblah.com in the search box. It will return all of the information about blahblah.com including the server's IP address range, the server owner's name, his contact information, abuse contact information, and a lot more.
It will NOT give you the sender's name as this is against privacy laws. Only the information about the server they are using to send the mail is given. However, it is a handy way to have spammer's email accounts shut down.

Look in the headers of the email and it will show you the sender's IP address. This CAN be spoofed though.

You will want to show the header info, which will contain the IP, that you can reference within ARIN.net. As far as how you do this, it all depends on the mail program.

There is no reliable way you can do this. Only the ISP can do this and they will help you out if you can show them that the email was a threat to people or several other circumstances However this may require police involvement.
