Sure, but there are more steps that are free though to keep you way more safe. AVG is AWESOME, I use it everyplace.
You MUST BE OFFLINE when you run the programs you install below. AND you need to restart the computer WHILE the programs are running. OTHERWISE, they sometimes can not be removed. Disable all other virus ans spyware software except these and remove them permamnently.
You need these: Trendmicro Housecall, Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG Free Antivirus.
NOTE: Get updates first, THEN disconnect from the Web when you run these programs, then restart, do NOT CONNECT to the Web yet, and run them again. Don't turn off SpyBot when you turn off the system. When at trendmicro, select "Scan Now It's Free"

Yes. I'm also having both on my pc. But my AVG Anti Spyware's Resident Shield is longer active because I haven't bought the license after the trial period. And I didn't want to buy the license because I find the Resident Shield is not effective.I think my Windows Defender's 'resident shield' works better. . . AVG's Resident Shield is good though...By the way, anti spyware and anti virus programs don't clash with each other. Many people adviced against using more than one anti virus program but not against using more than one anti spyware programs.

many times talking, interior the computing device protection sport...free equates to "next to ineffective." the in common words actual exception is with firewalls. To compound the placement, AVGFree is about as sensible as a screendoor lower than the waterline of a deliver in retaining water out. The irony is that AVG's paid for application is respectable second teir courses. good luck! playstation : Anti-Virus and Anti-secret agent ware courses can run concurrently - they offer the impact of being for quite some issues, so there is no conflict.

Yes. They should work well with each other and you should have zero computability issues. I'm assuming you're referring to AVG Virus Scanner?
