Avast, AVG, and Nod32 have all three received the highest marks by security software testers all over the net.

My personal favorite is Avast because it uses much less system resources than either AVG or Nod32. It also has a much more "stylish" and up to date user interface than the other two. AVG and Nod32 are just plain ugly. Still good protection tho.

go to castlecops. com, there you will find alot of free downloadable antivirus and other programs. See if you can find norton or macafee, those are the 2 best out there at moment. Spybot.com is a good site for anti spyware, make sure you can get the 1.4 version, newest version now.

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

Check AVG (on the web). A tech installed it for me a while back and it seems to work very well.

Note: It appears that you'll need to get the "7.5" version, as the "7.1" is being discontinued. You might need to check into that further.
