the name of the blocker is called "st bernard"
it even blocks sites like "vtunnel"
its a toughie

is there some setting i can try changing or a site that can go by undetected?

First off, it's likely NOT on your computer but on the gateway. Since it blocks vtunnel it's obviously configured to block proxies. For the most part you won't get around that.

Systems that control access also monitor what you're doing and where you're going as well. Word to the wise...

You can but try not to worry about it. Had you paid enough attention in school to learn about computers, you would know about them already.
