ok its not urgent but im looking for the right background for my computer. Something that is cool and funny. BTW my favorite ever all time show is Roswell. Yea it ended 5 years ago but whatev. its on DvD. but yea maybe it can be based around that show. Btw Max and Micheal...totally hotty hot hotties. ;) or just a funny picture. I have pushed into port, listen to the welcome. Says it is preloaded with acdsee(photo), pass2go, and other I never heard of. The window opens same as my xp but when I try to save folder to the drive it is on I am told its read only and can't. I want to use the 2GB to store information and pictures on. Please help.

If the movie is 2 hours long it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes or more to burn onto a dvd, is there another way to burn these files faster, sometimes I wait 2 hours and for some reason it stops burning, it just freezes and I waited 2 hours for nothing and the dvd is messed up

Please help me!!, i dont know why the volume control program dissapeared, i mean i tried going to start>all programs>assesories>entertainment>but it says its empty!!
i tried control panel and check for sound, speech,audio devices and i put check mark on putting the volume icon in the taskbar, but it says its not installed,that it got accedantly deleted, or corrupted.
when i try to see videos, i see the video but i dont hear, and no its not my speakers, their new, so i doubt somethings wrong with them. what should i do?????

It's a laptop and my computer makes a beeping sound whenever I turn the sound on. All I can do is to mute the computer. Rollback doesn't do anything and I want another way to do it without rebooting my computer. This is urgent and my friend and I use the computer and play many games with sound.

why does my reload backup disk i got with my computer, seem empty when i load and run it in my cd/dvd drive.....and when i click on it to see whats on it ... it shows no information whatso ever... this is the disc that came with my computer with preinstalled xp on it... thanks for any answers or help. ??

I am at work, so I don't know the exact specifics of the PC. It's a HP or Dell, I believe. I have connected it to the Internet and it is faily quick with like and 80 Gig HD. It's not too old. It runs XP.

I have wanted to turn it into a media center and hook it up to my DVR-satellite system. I've thought about networking it to my eMac as an external HD. Lately I've thought of loading Linux on it and learning that OS. WHAT DO I DO? I would like to have something cool that none of my friends have.

My laptop says its a "DVD+/-RW multi-format double layer drive reads and writes DVD's and CD's". I can get my computer to read and write CD's using Windows Media Player, but I can't get it to read and write DVD's.

hi, I'm trying to create a chart using excel. i know excel has the chart wizard, but i'm not sure if it fits the parameters that i'm using. I have a description axis and a timeline axis. the timeline axis has an early start and a finish date. the chart i created by filling in the colors by cell doesn't show up well because then the fonts print small as well to fit all on one page. can anyone help me with this. thanks in advance.

I am typing up a Microsoft Word Doc. that is supposed to be our new Online Job Application (looks like the paper one we have). Thing is, my boss wants to put it on our website for applicants to fill out and then they email back to us.

Is there any special code or PDF process for this so the applicant doesn't mess up the whole format when the applicant types the info in? Or do we have to hire someone who can put HTML codes into it?

I know nothing about HTML.
