is there a way to burn mpg, wmv, avi files onto a dvd faster than with Nero?

If the movie is 2 hours long it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes or more to burn onto a dvd, is there another way to burn these files faster, sometimes I wait 2 hours and for some reason it stops burning, it just freezes and I waited 2 hours for nothing and the dvd is messed up

Yes. There's a new DVD/CD burner with USB connection. Pioneer for example has this type of DVD burner and is now available in the market. You ca link it to your PC.
