I believe ENIAC was the first real computer (see pictures at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ENIAC) along with Colossus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossus_computer) and the Mark I (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvard_Mark_I). Each of them filled large rooms.

I don't know what computer is the smallest in the world, but PicoTux (http://www.picotux.com/) is probably in the running.

well the first computer ever was so large it filled a whole room (Mainframe Computer In The 60'sDeveloped By IBM)
there are all of 14root servers in the world the only one in the united states is in washington DC

Fist one was bigger than most rooms and the smallest can fit inside a pellet that is injected under the skin.
