It's a laptop and my computer makes a beeping sound whenever I turn the sound on. All I can do is to mute the computer. Rollback doesn't do anything and I want another way to do it without rebooting my computer. This is urgent and my friend and I use the computer and play many games with sound.

Well computer are different. Most likely there is a key stuck. If the beep is when you logon to windows then it can be fixed easily but if it does it the whole time when booting then you might have a serious problem.

Is it a short beep like a notification, or is it constant?
I would visit your laptop's manufacturer's website and check out the support section and download the sound driver...sometimes that's the trick...
