Ok my computer crashed months ago (it's really old, probably made in 1998, and its an AND Duran) and since then I have gotten a new computer. I've been looking up ways to retreive all of your files from your old computer and everyone says "just take out your hard drive and put it in your new computer". BUT HOW DO YOU DO THAT?! Can someone explain this in a simple fashion...

On Windows Movie Maker, every time i try to import a clip, this comes up:

The file _____ cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.


what do i have to do so that won't come up and my videos will import onto WMM? thanks!!!

I've been trying to make a movie usuing Arcsoft video impression and the program works great except that when I try to publish my project as a movie file all the editing I do goes out the window and the audio is waaayyyy off. I cant figure it out..any suggestions?

At work we are applying a standard signature to all of our employee's Outlook. It is set-up in Word 2003 with a logo. It has worked great on every maching except one. I set up the signature then applied it. When I generate a new email on this users machine I get a message saying there is an "active x control setting error" or that I have "blocked one of the publisher settings". The signature displays properly in the emails, but that error shows up every time when I generate a new email. Of course this our Managing Partner's machine. Does anyone know what setting in Word or Outlook I need to change as I cannot find the setting and Office Help has not helped either. Thank you! Any help is appreciated!

transfer a file containing some videos from my cousin's desk top to mine? our computer was infected with a virus, and we had to reinstall an anti virus program. during the process, we lost most of our files but we later found them when we did a search from his profile(he is an administrator). now, i want to transfer the files containing the videos from his desk top to mine. thanks in advance.
