we are using dvd-rw cds and nero burners with no results lots of difficulties. not sure what the problems are 2 days into this and a lot of frustrations pls help

When i delete music from my computer and after i delete it from the recycle box does this mean the file is fully deleted. how can i make sure the file is deleted.

My computer keeps restarting itself. The computer is not even connected to the internet. Im not sure whats going on. I just printed a pdf document and then there was a flash of a blue screen which was so fast that I couldnt even read it and then the computer just shut itself down. THen the computer started to restart itself again and again by itself. It just happened out of the blue. What should I do to fix this problem?. Many thanks.

I noticed the other day that when I plug in my camera or put in a DVD Disc it dosent come up with the normal selection of Auto Play options and I want them back. So is there a way to return them to default?
All except CD and music files have only one option which is to do nothing.

I am not hiding anything from my husband, only from his father who works on our computer sometimes. Not that we are hiding anything at all, but I don't want people looking at our history to be nosy.

For some reason my Super Multi Optical DL DVD Drive has changed it name from DVD-RAM to CD Disc, although it plays DVDs and re-writes to them as usual so how can I change the name back to what it was?

512 MB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 6200
2.6 Ghz..

I dont know what happened but it jsu got slower...Like hours ago it was rapid fast...Now when i try to log on..it takes too much time..and the start up items loads really slow..and everytime i try to refresh..its not that fast anymore..last time when i refresh my comp its really fast..any solutions guys?

I have a macbook laptop and it burns DVDS and I have a few movies on my computer already. But I don't know where to go from there. Does anyone have any idea? Do I have to load it into imovie? or can I just drag and drop somewhere? I need you my fellow mac users! Help!

Ok here's what happened. I was just on my computer and went to play a file from Limewire and, soon did I notice that ALL of my song and video files in my music file from Limewire were zip files! How can I change it back??

I need to free some space and can't think of anything big that's hugging my hard drive. I just deleted over 2gb and it says i only have 80mb left! so there must be a few large files hiding somewhere.

So anyone know any handy program that might find large files? or something similar?

when I power up my PC first thing in the morning, more often than not, I'll get a black background set-up page, or something to that effect, requiring me to strike the F1 key to continue, which of course I do, and the xp page comes up as usual. The question (obviously) is... Why is it doing this? Is it a potential problem???
