I just got this laptop for Christmas for school! I whiped up all of the liquid I could asap but I know some must have penetrated because the computer will not turn on. When I press the power key, a power light turns on briefly, but the computer does not power up. Does anyone have experience with spilling liquids on their laptop, or on a Vaio to be exact? Do you think it will be okay?

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop w/ an Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor at 1.60 GHz

1.60 GHz, 504 MB of RAM
it comes with the standard Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family Display adapters.

I want to know how I can improve my gaming experience. Most games that I play often lag and it is rare that I find a game that plays smoothly. Is there anyway that I can upgrade my laptop to increase game performance or do I have to buy a better one? Thanks.

I getting a brand new notebook by the end of the month. What I really want to get is an Intel Core 2 Duo notebook with 2048mb, but I might need to save some money for other things. So, the next best thing is one of two choices: A) either just get an Intel Core 2 Duo notebook with only 1024mb or B) get an AMD notebook with 2048mb. I need a notebook that can hold up me surfing the net as fast as I want to, making 20 minute movies, and saving things. The AMD notebooks are cheaper, but I heard that they aren't as good processors as Intel Core 2 Duo, but with my budget if I go with Intel, I'll only get 1024mb, and I really want at least 2048mb. Would the Intel 1024mb be sufficient for making the 20 min movies and surfing the net at high speeds, or should I lean towards the AMD 2048

I may get an Apple laptop someday, but how much would it cost to convert it to a Windows Vista OS? I would like to be able to run all my games and programs on Windows, and switch back to Mac for going online, ect.

My friend bought a Dell Celeron laptop a year or two ago and has constant problems with it. It overheats, corrupt system files, won't boot up, all those constantly happen to her. Did she get a lemon or has this happened to others? I've had to reinstall Windows for her like 5 or more times, that is rediculous.

I heard that it is not good we using a laptop with battery inside and using the adapter at the same time. It will make the batt life low fast when we're not using the adapter.

Packard Bell Easy Note started to go "blue screen" at least once a day .Sometimes after being on a short time, sometimes after being on for many hours.

Did a system restore and the P.B. site was useless as the links they have on there don't even work. (Fan is working and it does not appear to be an overheating problem.)
Any ideas?
Thanks!
