I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop w/ an Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor at 1.60 GHz

1.60 GHz, 504 MB of RAM
it comes with the standard Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family Display adapters.

I want to know how I can improve my gaming experience. Most games that I play often lag and it is rare that I find a game that plays smoothly. Is there anyway that I can upgrade my laptop to increase game performance or do I have to buy a better one? Thanks.

Nope, you can't upgrade your laptop. You have to buy a better one, but if you intend to game, you'll want a desktop. If you want a gaming desktop for cheap, you'll want to buy the components and wire them together.

Otherwise, splash the cash on a desktop that offers a high end video card, lots of RAM, and a good processor. Note that you can't really get such a great video card for a laptop.

RAM shouldn't be as big of an issue as your video card. I'm sure you have onboard video which uses some of your RAM as video memory. Since you only have 504MB RAM, I am assuming you are using 8MB for your video memory...this is not a lot at all.

You might be able to increase it in your BIOS...be careful not to change anything else while you are in there.

Laptops aren't really made for gaming, they were developed for business use. So the graphics aren't very powerful. However, Alienware does make gaming laptops, but they are expensive.
