at my school we have a thing you have to press ctrl + alt + delete and i wnat that on my computercan i do that??? best answer 10 points

you should automatically be able to do that. it will bring up the task manager on windows. if you have a different kind of computer i dont know.

Any computer with Microsoft Windows uses the Control- Alt- Delete key combination to open the task manager, reboot the computer and use it to end programs. If your computer is a runs Linux or Mac OS then that combination does nothing.

On win2K. Start/run - type in "control userpasswords". Click on the Advanced tab. Put a check in the box that says "Requre user to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

On WinXP. Start/run - type in "control userpasswords2". Click on the Advanced tab. Put a check in the box that says "Requre user to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

You can password protect your computer by going in to the control panel and setting your security options. I have the control - alt - delete option on my computer at my place of business, but it was installed there by the administrator, so I'm not sure how you would get that option for a personal computer.

That key combination, as a normal procedure means only one thing: login on a Windows NT/2000 machine, it cannot be reproduced in any other kind of Windows, including XP.

that is a command for the windows operating system, any windows system has it. it is defualt. i dont know how to explain it. it is there unless you are running linux or bsd or unix (os x). ctrl+alt=bksp is for linux, apple is like alt apple esc

It depends, u have to have the same operating system (windows XP, windows 2000, etc.) and it should do the same.

right click on your screen then click on properties then click on screen saver and set a password

Control panel -> User Accounts, then click 'change the way users log on or off'.

If you disable the 'Welcome Screen' you're done.
