i have a acer travelmate 4000flci with windows XP , but as soon as i play a movie DVD the sound that it gives is very slow but when i play a MP3 sound file it is considerably louder ? please help

I have an Acer Aspire 3620 Notebook computer. I use the wireless connection every day.

I'm planning to buy one next year for college and I don't know which one to buy. I grew up with PCs and I am familar with Apples. I know i shouldn't base it on looks, but the applebooks look so cool and hip. But Macs are more expensive. I know macs dont really get virus but PCs do.

I have a Compaq Evo N410c, and sometimes the touch pad for the mouse allows me to tap on it to simulate clicking instead of using the 2 buttons below it works, and sometimes it doesn't. It seems to work and not work randomly and not in any pattern. I've looked into the control panel mouse settings, but nothing seems to be there. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2. Any suggestions?

ok so i'm on a laptop and you know how on some models (i'm on a thinkpad) you can replce the cd drive thing and maybe pu tin a floppy disk drive ( i think i'm using the right term.... basically the thing where you put the cd in or you can change it with one where you can insert a floppy disk) well anyway, i acidentaly pushed the eject button and now i don't know how to reactivate the cd drive, like i push the button for it to open and it doesn't respond... i'm using windows and i'm on a thinkpad.. PLEASE HELP!!!

usually, my notebook makes this sound when it turns on, but recently, when i turn it on it doesnt make a peep!! Also, nothing works once i turn it on and this weird popup appears that says "application about to terminate" or something like that. and its also insanely slow. does this mean that i have to buy a fan thing or something for my labtop?

i used to put my computer on standby or hibernate if i don't use my computer for a while but don't want to turn it off. for some reason now, when i put it on standby or hibernate, it will "turn off", but when i press the on button, it powers up but it's still a black screen. has anyone else had this problem? thanks.

i cracked the screen of my ibm thinkpad its a laptop kind of thing just a different name and the crack isnt all that bad and it didnt completely damage the screen but all around the crack there is some kind of purple fuzzy stuff....this all happened when i slamed it close cuz i was in a hurry....please help and the waranty expired and i dont have any insuranse for it and its a used computer and i dont have the money to spend on a new laptop any advice would halp PLEASE HELP

I have a Kensington blue tooth mouse and I usually use it at the same time with my TouchPad. A few weeks ago I turned it on after it had been off for about a month. Soon after my touchpad would stop working or I would get a message saying: Your Synaptics touchpad has been disabled because it has dected another pointing device plugged into your computer. I have tried removing, disabling, uninstalling, reinstalling and nothing has worked. I have contacted Kensington and Synaptics with no luck. Help is needed ASAP. Any help will be apreciated, even if it doesn't fix it. I will make sure you get plenty of points for answering. Thanks in advance.
