i would like to ask about the fan of this notebook. since it says on the site that it hasnt any fan. does it mean it wont ever heat up? and about the battery. there are two. do i have to choose one or 2 comes within this notebook? thank you

Even when I only have one program open, it locks up frequently and I have to end out. My laptop is only 2 months old (bought it new) and I don't have a lot of junk on it. It is a P4 Acer Aspire with an 80G hard drive and 512 memory, if this helps.

I have a Sony Vaio and one of the kids has knocked the A key off, I have the key but not the mechanism that connects the key to the keyboard, does anyone know where I can get one cheaply without sending the laptop off?

I've tried everything (I think) I've looked at previous Q & A's and nothing has helped. I just got the harddrive replaced on my laptop and now it wont connect. I have full signal strength, Ive restarted, I tried the "repair option", Ive done the whole "cmd.exe > ipconfig/release then /renew" (which I might add said that it couldnt do because its says the 'media is disconnected') nothings worked. And now I dont see an IP address at all... PLEASE HELP!

I can't get my Gateway laptop to boot normally because I keep getting this message. I can get it to boot in safe mode, but I dont know how to fix the problem. This is hard to believe. I have a Dell Inspiron 5000e laptop that I want to connect to a wireless network. I have called Dell twice and twice went on to their Internet tech support site and asked "What card do I need?" I got FOUR different answers!

Does anyone know the correct card for the external slot of this laptop?

My laptop is pretty old,it's a Compaq Presario 2800.For some reason it won't turn on.It'll only show up to the wallpaper & that's it.My Firewall is still on though.There are no programs on display at all & niether is the start menu.Can anybody please tell me what is wrong? I believe I downloaded to many stuff.My laptop warned me about having low disk space & that it needed to be clean.I cleaned it & the next thing you know,it won't start up.Somebody please help! I work from home and lately have been working for several hours at a time with my laptop on my lap. The battery gets quite hot...and I know that they can be fire hazards. But I'm more worried about the other health effects it might have. Has anyone read anything on that?
