Even when I only have one program open, it locks up frequently and I have to end out. My laptop is only 2 months old (bought it new) and I don't have a lot of junk on it. It is a P4 Acer Aspire with an 80G hard drive and 512 memory, if this helps.

Most common cause of lock-ups is usually lack of Ram ... but 512 should be enough ... if it's only 2 months old it will still be under warranty ... back-up all your data cause they'll want ot reformat and rebuild it for you

If you tinkered with the bios or oc. too high try set it back to original seting or load default setting. If not, try running the same program or any from external hardrive with minimum or no virtual memory.
