too expensive a toy !
get a dell xps m1210

select the t7200 core 2 duo processor, which features 2.0 ghz, 667 mhz fsb & an awesome 4 mb l2 cache
+ the 256 mb graphics
& 1 gig of ram in single slot., so other slot is free if u feel like adding more ram later on !

the Toshiba is much better in specifications (the 2 you compared are not from the same level) so if for no other reason, it's a much better choice.
i use only IBM Thinkpads, and become to believe they are simply the best laptops (from my own experience, compared to HP, Dell and Compaq, which i owned before) . (Thinkpads, not other IBM or Lenovo laptops.)
and another thing, think if there's any need for you for the tablet features of the laptop (the Toshiba above) because if you don't, it'll cost you even less to buy a normal laptop (no swiveling, touch screen)

The toshiba is the better system. But I don't know
about HKD. So I can't say if the prices are comparable.
