I would not touch a Dell laptop with a 100 foot pole. My business purchased 10 of them just over 2 years ago and not a single one is still in use. They have all been sent back to Dell at one time or another for repair or replacement. I would in the following order select an Apple iBook or MacBook Pro > Toshiba > IBM (Lenovo) ThinkPad > HP. A friend recently purchased an LG Electronics laptop and so far it appears to be a very impressive machine and good value too so that maybe something to consider

I personally prefer HP. I have an HP Pavilion zv6000 and I love it. Thought a dell could be slightly cheaper than an HP, an HP tends to last longer and have more space on the hard drive.

I own a hp dv1100 and am very happy with it.You can get them loaded as my own is for a really reasonalbe amount.I will defintly buy by my next one from Hp again.I also owned a Dell8400 desk top that was a real head ach with lots of problems and thier support was terrable.I have had very little problems with my Hp.I decided too buy a larger battery and contacted thier support and it was awesome too say the least.Much unlike the Dell support. My adive too you is too go with Hp and you wont be dissapointed as I was with Dell. This is only my own opinion and experince.

I alos vote for the Toshiba and I bought one. Dell is jammed with crap and space hoging DELL advertising stuff it will take a tech to remove. Not sure if HP has the same crap.

In my opinion, Dell is awsome. I have a dell laptop and its really good. It's battery lasts pretty long and is overall just a great laptop. Good luck!

Gimme an HP ANY day due to its special restore properties! You can restore it to factory with the touch of a button! Considering 98 percent of the internet users aint got a clue as to what wrecks their systems, this is the way to go!
John, stick to fixin sandwiches! Its usually the user who screws them up to begin with!

Check out all that are available in your area, against your needs, then check the price, compare an Orange to Orange only.

Then purchase based on an informed knowledge.
