I recommend buying a NEW Apple Macbook from Apple.

Buying a used one, especially this model, makes no sense. The early ones had cooling problems and it is not worth buying a used one to save $100 or so.The deals are far from great. They are asking $950 for an old G4 iBook which is ridiculous.

I would MUCH rather have a brand new one that has the bugs worked out and the latest version of everything already loaded and nothing missing from the box and you know it's never been dropped or screwed up.

It might be different if they were selling a $1200 laptop for $700 but they are selling $1000 laptops for $900 when you can get a brand new one that is faster and in pristine condition and has Apple's warranty.

You can get quite a lot of "labtop", or laboratory workshop in full, for around1 grand.

I suggest you go to your local college and find out where they buy their labtops, then order one, strip it down to the bare wood, and then paint it in apple white.

Viola, your very own apple "labtop"!

Hello hockeyiscool,

I would recommend you going to PowerMax and get a reconditioned Mac. They have the same warranty as a brand new Mac, but a lot cheaper. Check it out here:

Best of luck to you in your search.
