I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

Look up your computer at http://www.coastmemory.com These people are very reliable, and will provide you with terrific assistance.

You save a few bucks when you BUY on-line, but you can also call 1-800-463-6679. Their guarantee is good, so if you have trouble, they will help.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

This has nothing to do with speed. You're relating a quantity to speed. It's like saying is a 10 x 10 room fast?

RAM is what a computer uses as operating space for all of the activitivies that go on. There's more to this, but that's the basic explanation. If you want you computer to operate less sluggishly, than add more RAM. You will allow the compute to have more space for it's activites. If will seem faster only because you are removing a typically bottleneck.

I'll try to answer your question considering you have a good motherboard (such as Intel 945 G or equivalent, your CPU is Intel P4 3.0 GHz with 2M L2 cache or better, and your hard disk is 80GB/7200 RPM or better)

In the mentioned case, the RAM is quit enough, and you don't have to have 1 GB at this time, if your machin's specifications is not better than what I have stated, you should reconsider your RAM!!

I believe that it is better of you can give more details about your machine!!

Hope this would be helpful for you.

Photoshop is usually large program, but 512 should be capable of running all those programs at the same time. Although I think it would always be better to get more RAM memory

512 MB is how much memory
the 667MHZ is how fast it is

another factor determining the speed is cache and fetch speed

well if you are using photshop I would recommend that you double it at least. Photoshop demands a lot of memory. If you try this you should see improvemnts. The Internet and Itunes arnt that important as far as memory goes.

You should get more memory, especially if you anticipate upgrading to the new Vista OS. I have heard you should have at least 1GB to run Vista; 2GB for any real performance. For all practical purposes, you need 512 MB just to boot it.

I always recommend people get 1GB of RAM if they can afford it.
More is good but the 'wins' drop off after 1GB so you get less improvement for the extra dollars spent than the improvements you get per dollar on the way up to 1GB.
With less that 1GB you will encounter times when you wish you had more RAM.

Hope that helps

You might need more memory. I think Photoshop can eat it up. Does your computer FEEL slow to you? If so, then yeah, get more memory.
