my lab top shuts downs whenever i play games or when use it for an hour if you know why please help me

There are a lot of things which could be happening with your system. The first thing I should suggest is to check your system for malwares, as they could zap a lot of memory from your ram. I strongly recommend that you get spy-bot, lavasoft ad-aware and ccleaner for your system. Run those programs to remove suspected malwares. The next thing to do is to make sure your laptop's battery and the heat it generates. If your battery causes extreme heat, reboot your computer, enter the BIOS by pressing F2, then try finding Battery Callibration. Recallibrating the battery can also help alot in battery issues. Finally, MAKE SURE that your laptop is well ventillated.

Most likely due to overheating. Try not using it while you're on a bed or on your lap, or anywhere else where the fans underneath are blocked. If you're using is on a desk and it does this, try either putting it on a stand or buying a flat laptop fan that slides right underneath your laptop, it will help and you can find them at most computer stores.

If its a macbook try updating the firmware. If its anyhthing else, take it to the manufacture
