Are you using a laptop, or is your video memory shared? If it is the latter, I recommend that you change the video-memory sharing from 32 MB to 8 MB.
To do so, go to your BIOS by pressing F2 at boot time, then try fiddling around the ADVANCED mode. If you can find the Video Memory Sharing, change it to 8MB. Save the changes you've made when you exit.
Try to play your game, if it still doesn't work, I strongly recommend that you refer to your motherboard's manual and check if you have a video card slot, if you do, check for it's configuration and try purchasing at least a 128 MB video card if it's compatible. There are two popular types of video cards sold in the market that you should be aware of; AGP and PCI-Express.
The other way to resolve it is that, you do have to buy a new RAM module, however, I strongly recommend that you try checking out some video cards for your computer.
happy gaming!!!
