obviously I don't know anything about computers. My laptop fan is working really hard and my laptop is getting really warm...and its making a lot of noise. I looked at my computer and the "CPU"s are at 100%. What does that mean? It makes this noise when I'm playing a game, and it makes it when I'm not doing anything at all!!

I want to hear about all laptops: Apple, Dell, HP, and every other company making quality computers. Are there any companies you think are making the newest great laptop? I hear Macs are good but mostly because there are less viruses out for them right now, could that easily change as they become more popular?

Hi,

I have a Toshiba Notebook which has given some blue screens about memory. At last I decided to reinstall windows. But when I boot my computer with XP CD, XP setup could not format the harddisk and said there are errors in hdd.

What should i do? Buy a new hdd :( or what :) ?

I want to know what this simptom is all about, when I press start buton on my laptop, it starts but only a few second, then it suddenly powered off. i swapped the harddisk to another laptop and its OK. Is it motherboard problem?

I installed a virtual drive then after uninstalling it, even my cdrom cannot be detected. Start up time is longer that usual, the read lead in my pc doesnt seem to stop blinking even. now my bios cannot detect that i have a cdrom drive. Will reinstalling xp or bios would help?

....but after many attempt it worked. and when I move the laptop it halts everything.(I need to power it agian).
