Im suprised. Earting is a requirement.

Your laptop power supply probably doesnt have a 'earth' wire either and will be double insulated. So no danger.

Most modern homes use a power trip to protect. These are much safer in operation.

Should be no problem. Don't leave it plugged in during electrical storms, a surge protector uses that third wire you call earthing to function so it is no good to you. For that matter, they only are marginally protective in my humble opinion.

ac. adapter used transformer to convert ac to dc. therefore your dc ground (computer) is isolated or diferent from your ac ground if any. Thus you can safely use your laptop. But buy a surg arrester for gard againt lightning.
