Both are very good laptops but i would go with the Toshiba, just because the Intel Dual Core is a much better processor and it has 1 GB more RAM than the HP.

Centrino Core 2 Duo is better processing capabilities, also you need to consider the hard drive size and the size of RAM, although they are not as important as the processing speed. I would go with the Toshiba.

I'd go with the Toshiba since my family has one and it is great, also the finger print reader is a fun antitheft feature

the HP. my brother and mom had a toshiba that ended up breaking in about 2 months... both had different issues. now they both have HPs and they really like theirs.
