I have overclocked but I can't find where to go to adjust the frequency of my cpu. It is 7422gx notebook with an amd 64 atlon 3400+ processor running at 2.2 ghz.

every few days it seems to just turn off , i do have a fan sitting under the lap top to stop it over heating
ive been told i should always turn a lap top off at nite could this be the problem , my son never turns his PC off and hes never cuts out

The screen looks like it is cracked, but when i touch it the glass is perfectly smooth. I've looked online and seen that there is two main parts in the screen, the Backlight and the inverter. The backlight seems to be fine... and the inverter too? Here's a picture of what it looks like right now

Whenever I turn my laptop on it freezes up at the blue windows screen. That's the screen with the windows xp logo and the blue background. It does not get as far as the user account's screen. I've tried resetting it but that did not work. What might seem to be the problem? I tried running it in safe mode but it still doesn't work. It's stuck at the same blue screen. I cannot get my desktop at all.

This 'freeze' renders the notebook useless except when the power switch is used to reboot the system. How can i solve this problem without rebooting the system on a constant basis?

Other wireless providers seem to have unsecure signals...but it's easy for me to pick up their signals. Am I risking my laptop? What do I need to securely surf the net wirelessly when I am on the go without risking myself and without signing any contracts. The router is a NETGEAR WGR614, and I am trying to connect it to my computer to allow the internet to be used by a laptop. I had it working at one time but unplugged it (teenagers). I am now trying one more time but cannot find the instruction booklet and for the life of me can't remember how to re-connect the thing. It is only a blue wire and a yellow wire. I have switched them around so much that I have completely gone mad. So if someone out there can help me I would appreciate it.
