My computer is very slow and they told me to get external hdd. But I have no idea... how to choose?

you can get an empty HDD to usb housing for about $50 then put any HDD or CD into it, SATA is faster all brands are similar just make sure that if you get a SATA housing that you get a SATA HDD, Try disabling some of the background programs

right click the my computer icon go to Click the advanced TAB click the performance settings button and select adjust for best performance

it wont look as nice but it doubles the available memory

Here's the idea: Backing up your data into an external drive will leave your laptop drive with more room for your platform to perform better. Buy a known brand hard drive(Maxtor is my choice) along with an enclosure for it(make it a 3.5" enclosure, by the way),it will come with instructions on how to format it before using it. After that, cut and paste your info into this new drive.You will notice a faster laptop! To improve performance, install a disk defragmenter utility (O&O defrag is the one i use).

Nope. basically pick the force you want to wipe sparkling. And if that's exterior drives basically unplug them from the computer basically to make confident not some thing occurs. yet you have to be secure. bypass ahead and do this that's going to take a lengthy time period.

who told u that u need more hard drive? maybe u need more ram. let me know if u need more help...
