I have had all types of laptops so far the best one that I have had is a Toshiba. Dells are okay but they will fail on you with in a few months and as for a Compaq I can assure you will be in hell with that computer. I would suggest the Toshiba Satellite or if you have money the Tecra or Portege. I do alot of graphic designs with Photoshop, Flexi and Corel Draw 12 and all in my Toshiba.

Dell is better Specaily the (Dell XPS) it is made with with high graphics and a bulk processor.
By the way Dell have the 2005 Award.

if you are looking for something that works a long time for you, DELL is the best one. toshiba is good too but DELL has better services.

Both are good, but I like Dell now because they offer both AMD and Pentium chips. I dont know about Toshiba, but Dell has all your drivers on their web site. Lots of pluses on both. But offering both chip sets sold me.

Dell by all means. Dell has the provision for customisation of hardware and will therefore be the best for ur requirements.

Toshiba, you get what you pay for. IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads not the new C300 line are the most powerful and durable but will cost more. They have a server heritage and are very durable.
