I just bought an Acer laptop, and it has bluetooth capabilities. I tried connecting it to my Razr phone via bluetooth, and it didn't work. What can the bluetooth in a laptop be used for? Probably bluetooth keeboards and mice, I guess, but besides that?

Bluetooth is mainly for laptops..because bluetooth is made for wireless connectivity that supports media controls such as DVD playback, or music playback. THis is basically like a little remote control to control you DVDand music without getting up.

They can be used to transfer from cell phones (you must be doing something wrong), you can use a bluetooth headset to talk on Skype, Yahoo! Messenger, etc. Basically, you can interface with any Bluetooth device if you have a Bluetooth enabled computer.

There are bluetooth mice and keyboards that you can use, along with headsets, headphones, cell phones, PDA's and you can transfer files to another computer that has bluetooth.
