How do i remove the hard drive from my Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook. Can anyone please help me

I know someone who is using a laptop in Kenya. The power fluctuates so much out there that they have burned out one laptop already. I'm interested in finding a battery backup that will work off of 220V and be compatible for a Kenyan-style outlet. Any ideas on where I could locate such an item?

I have Centrino 1.66 GHz Duo Core,,,, 1 GB RAM ,,,128 MB graphics card ...make is HP.... with 80 GB Hard Drive.... should i replace hard drive with 60 GB ...would it help in gaining some more speed of my laptop .....because 60 GB will be enough space for me ...Plz help me regarding that wether i shud replace it or i wont effect on speed of laptop..

Basically my wireless adaptor plug snapped out of the socket and broke the inside of it, so now my laptop has gone completely dead and won't turn on at all. I tried it with & without the power supply, took the battery out and put it back in, and still isn't working. Anyone have any ideas has to what could have happened to stop the whole thing working? It is very annoying as I'm still paying for it and only had it a year. Any advice would be appreciated.

I need help picking out a good quality laptop, and the mhz, gb, gibberish still means ..nothing to me so i need a little interpretation please. I need a laptop that will store good quality of music hundreds of songs, photoshop, microsoft xp pro, run quickly and has a cd/dvd rw and online etcs.

512MB 333MHz DDR System Memory

and up to 1600MHz system bus running at ac/dc mode 25 watt (no idea what that means)

Took it out of the box yesterday, plugged it in, and everything worked beautifully. Today, I plugged it in (not sure if battery is charged all the way yet) and it did not come on. Nothing. Unplugged, waited, tried another outlet...still- nothing--dead. Then, took the battery off and put it back on and , yep, nothing. Moments later, out of sheer frustration, I took the battery out again and slammed it back in. And, it came on. What could have happened here and should I take this thing back before it happens again?! It is a Toshiba Satellite. Please help!
