Hi there...leaving your iBook on/charging full time is fine. Apple can confirm this fact. However, it would be recommended to restart your machine at least weekly to minimize any corruption of system functions, which can happen from time to time. Restarting just helps reset everything. New computer screens do not suffer burn-in issues like the older ones therefore this isn't a concern and again Apple can confirm this fact if you would like to call tech support 1-800- SOS-APPL

I do that with my PB G4, only because of the maintenance scripts that run in the middle of the night. I occasionally run my PB from just the battery and do a calibration once a month. So far I haven't noticed anything bad happening by leaving the adapter on every night without turning off my PB and letting it sleep.

I would not leave it charge all night Just fully discharge it and then recharge it once a month.

I would set the standby time to two hours so it won't get too hot. Do this in Control Panel, Power Options.
